Small hedge plants will tend to establish and grow more quickly than many larger plants of the same variety, but good soil preparation, drainage and fertlizer are important to promote healthy growth, as is weeding and prunung/trimming to make plants bush out. However, mature 'instant hedges' of all varieties are available from specialist growers and we plant these too.

More formal clipped evergreen hedges are common in residential areas including Box, Laurel, Holly, Berberis, Leylandii and Yew or informal and flowering hedges using a variety of container grown shrubs such as Roses, Lavander, Escallonia, Choisya, Photinia etc.
