Tenants Move Into Affordable Homes
Spring is in the air....
- On Thursday 3 March, East Devon District Councillor Miss Jill Elson, planted spring bulbs at Waggs Plot, Axminster, to celebrate the official opening and occupation of four new Council homes in the village. Designed by Charles E Ware & Son and constructed by R G Spiller Limited, these and two further flats at Heals Field Axminster, are the first homes to be built by the Council in over 20 years. The spring bulbs were donated by Tony Benger Landscaping after planting and laying turf to the gardens on both sites.

- On 1 Nov 2010, Dr Julie Hutt our official 'Competent Advisor' from H & S specialists SSG Training and Consultancy, completed her annual review of H & S arrangements and provided the following summary to her report. "Tony Benger Landscaping Ltd. is to be congratulated for making a significant amount of good progress in establishing and implementing their HSE management system, through some challenging times. Management continue to demonstrate their support and commitment to improving HSE standards throughout Company operations".

- During early April, Tony Benger Landscaping again achieved accreditation under the 'Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme' . CHAS is a nationally recognised and accepted threshold standard in health and safety pre-qualification assessment and is a founder member of The Safety Schemes in Procurement – Competence Forum or SSIP. Our accreditation comes for the third consecutive year with a pleasing comment from our assessor - 'An excellent submission with all the required evidence in place and well presented, thank you'.

25 Years in Business. This year is Tony's 25th year in business in the landscaping industry! Having started in 1986 with a borrowed wheelbarrow and a battered mini, Tony is planning a number of celebrations this year to mark the occasion. We hope that staff, customers and suppliers can join us at some stage during the summer, for one or more events
Tony Benger Landscaping Completes New Hotel Complex Landscaping at Cricket St Thomas. Working against a tight deadline to complete this contract for Mildren Construction, our landscaping teams worked long hours to finish the new courtyard and and holiday complex with pleached Photinias, planting, turf and willow sculptures. The doe and faun willow figures were specially commissioned by an artist from Cambridge and installed as the final element of the project.
Tony Benger Landscaping Receive Marshalls Award. Tony Benger Landscaping was one of the first ever landscaping companies to be accepted as an 'Approved Contractor' on the 'Marshalls Register'. The achievement of 10 years on the scheme was marked in an award ceremony at the Marshalls Roadshow, in Exeter on 7th Decemeber 2010. Tony received this handsome glass award plaque, which will join a series of other trophies in the company office at Dalwood. The Marshalls Register is an endorsement and official mark of quality, for installers of paving products from the UK's premier manufacturer.
