Using turf is the quickest way to lay a lawn, but it needs careful preparation and care while it settles, establishes and roots down. Turf is best laid in late winter/early spring, although of course it is possible to lay lawn turf at any time of the year. The Rolawn brand of seeded turf is a top quality lawn turf supplied in rolled lengths of a metre square. Meadow grass turf, typically used for orchards, banks and rough grass areas, is turf cut from an ordinary meadow, so is the cheapest type to purchase but will contain mixed grasses and possibly some weeds or wildflowers.

Lawn turf is a living product so will need to be laid as soon as possible after cutting. We aim to lay the lawn, edge up, water and finish quickly.
We will normally rely on our customers to keep watering the grass for the next few days, particularly in hot weather and to ensure no-one walks on the lawn until it is established.
